Whether you consider yourself new to outdoor recreation, a weekend warrior, or seasoned adventurer… Wilderness First Aid (WFA) training is essential to being confident and competent in the outdoors.
 
Join Katie Woods, lead instructor for Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) and owner of Barefoot Wild Med, to practice critical thinking and learn crucial medical skills to keep yourself and friends healthy and happy on trail.
 
Learning happens through plenty of hands-on skills and scenario practice, group discussion, and case studies. Classes stay small on purpose (between 6-12 students) to ensure quality of group discussion and better 1:1 instructor attention.

WHO CAN TAKE THIS COURSE?
Anyone over the age of 16.
 
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The course is $200 per person.
 
You have the option to pay a $100 deposit now to hold your spot, with the remainder $100 due on the first morning of class. WHEN IS THE COURSE?
Day 1: Saturday, Nov 15th, 8:30am - 5:30/6pm
Day 2: Sunday, Nov 16th, 8:30am- 5:30/6pm
 
There will be a 30-60 minute break depending on the needs of the group. Bringing a lunch is encouraged (I will provide a cooler with ice) but there are local places to grab something as well.
 
WHERE IS THE COURSE?
Class will be held in Hamilton, MT at the Bitterroot River Inn and Conference Center.
 
WHAT CERTIFICATES WILL I EARN?
Wilderness First Aid
Adult CPR
 
Certification is granted by Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) and is valid for 3 years. To recertify, simply take another WFA course.
