The course also trains and certifies you in two wilderness protocols: Epinephrine administration (via auto-injector) for Anaphylaxis and Wound Cleaning and Debridement. You'll also get taught to perform 1- and 2-person adult, child, and infant CPR (equivalent to American Heart Association Basic Life Support) as well as O2 and naloxone administration.Your WFA certification is granted by Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) and lasts for 3 years from the end of the month you take your course (so, May 31, 2026).
